Prepare yourself to be inundated with outrage from Democrats. Outrage over President Trump’s comments shredding former FBI Director James Comey as a “leaker and a liar.”
It’s important to remember those same Democrats once believed the same exact thing.
As details of Comey’s new book, “A Higher Loyalty,” continue to emerge, Trump took to social media and absolutely lambasted the disgraced law official.
“James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR,” he wrote. “Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired.”
“He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted,” Trump continued. “He lied to Congress under OATH.”
The President added that Comey was a “terrible Director” and worse, an “untruthful slimeball.”

While certainly displaying a higher level of bombast, the President’s words echo those of numerous prominent Democrats who also viewed Comey as, for lack of a better term, an ‘untruthful slimeball.’
In fact, Democrats widely criticized Comey for his conduct with several publicly calling for his resignation.
Following the former FBI Director’s controversial letter to Congress in late October of 2016, a letter Hillary Clinton still blames for her stunning defeat in the presidential election, then-Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid accused Comey of breaking the law and said “of course” he should resign.
Reid wasn’t exactly a lone wolf on the matter.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders said Comey “acted in an outrageous way” and that “it would not be a bad thing for the American People” if he stepped down.
“I think he should take a hard look at what he’s done and I think it would not be a bad thing for the American people if he did step down,” Sanders told Clinton sycophant, George Stephanopoulos.
Democratic Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi meanwhile claimed Comey was perhaps “not in the right job,” while Senator Chuck Schumer of New York admitted he was “appalled by what Comey did,” and that he did “not have confidence in him any longer.”
Here’s the true gem out of the minefield of hypocrisy being exhibited by Democrats right now. And of course, it involves crazy Maxine Waters.
Waters, you see, believed that Comey had lost all credibility and that had Hillary won the election, she should have fired him.
“Well, let me tell you something,” she said during an MSNBC interview in May of 2017. “If she had won the White House, I believe that given what he did to her, and what he tried to do, she should have fired him. Yes.”
Now suddenly, they all have confidence in him and believe Comey should never have been fired. What hypocrites!
