Conservative actor Jon Voight posted a video to social media that defended former President Donald Trump and his former lawyer Rudy Giuliani as “heroes of the United States.”
Voight, who refers to Giuliani as “one of the greatest mayors of New York City,” was responding to news that a New York state appellate court had suspended him from practicing law.
The court ruled “there is uncontroverted evidence” that Giuliani had “communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large” regarding the 2020 election.
“How dare they suspend his license for defending truths?” Voight railed. “How dare they justify this horrible sin against this human soul of righteousness?”

Jon Voight, in the video posted to Facebook, continued praising Giuliani and Trump as men who fought for their country.
“Let me tell you something – enough is enough with these sick lies against the righteous who sacrifice their levels for the American people,” Voight alleged.
“President Trump and Mayor Giuliani are two men who fought for their country,” he continued.
“We as a nation will stand up for these men, heroes of the United States of America because my friends God is our witness and he will show who’s boss … Pray for justice and truth!”
Voight, in a recent interview with Candace Owens, sent an uplifting message to Trump supporters.
“God will show his face,” Voight said, adding “will show us the way out and God will be exposing things as we go. We will rise again.”

This isn’t the first time Jon Voight has praised Trump as a ‘hero’ to the nation.
During the height of the pandemic, Voight praised the former President as such for his handling of the coronavirus, citing his “gifted tongue of truths” and “true concern for everyone.”
“This is a man with great integrity, this is a man who held his head high, this is a man who took on evil and brought us to light,” Voight insisted. “This is a man, a president who guided his nation and his people on a path to greatness.”
Attorney Alan Dershowitz has also defended Giuliani in the face of his being suspended from practicing law in New York.
He suggested the idea that a lawyer making misleading statements being suspended would lead to a massive shortage of lawyers in this country.
“It says anybody who says anything to a third party that turns out not to be true, I mean my God, there’d be no lawyers left,” an exasperated Dershowitz said.
Giuliani has continued to argue unsubstantiated election fraud claims and suggested the court’s ruling to suspend him from practicing law is an attempt to “shut up Trump” and “shut up me.”
