Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested Senator Dianne Feinstein should not resign due to her age and ailing health because Democrats need to keep propping her up in order to confirm President Biden’s judicial nominees.
Clinton’s comments, which are basically emulating the plotline of Weekend at Bernie’s, came during an interview with Time.com reporter Charlotte Alter.
Alter asked about Feinstein, who has been a politician since 1969 and has missed dozens of Senate votes since being hospitalized with shingles. Numerous lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have been calling for her resignation. Clinton disagrees, but only for political reasons.
“Here’s the dilemma: the Republicans will not agree to add someone else to the Judiciary Committee if she retires,” she explained. “If we’re going to get judges confirmed, which is one of the most important continuing obligations that we have, then we cannot afford to have her seat vacant.”
Clinton continued, “All these people pushing her to retire: fine, so then no more judges? I don’t think that’s a good tradeoff.”
Hillary Clinton defended her friend and former colleague Senator Dianne Feinstein, saying that Feinstein’s resignation would not be “worth the tradeoff” when it comes to judicial appointments https://t.co/b6mFoPMsKu

Clinton: We Need Feinstein
Not sure about our readers, but it seems absolutely appalling to me that Clinton wants to continue to prop Feinstein up in the Senate regardless of her health simply to get judges confirmed. But then, she’s a borderline soulless witch.
How bad are things for the California Senator? Well, that’s tough to say.
Reports have now surfaced indicating staff are actively trying to “hide her wheelchair” from reporters and even going to such lengths as forming a “human barrier between her and the press corps.”
Why would they be hiding her from the press? Because the woman who Hillary Clinton wants to continue confirming judges and casting votes reportedly didn’t even remember she’d been absent from the Senate for three months.
“How have they felt about you returning?”
FEINSTEIN: “No, I haven’t been gone. You should follow the— I haven’t been gone. I’ve been working.”
“Working from home is what you’re saying?”

“I haven’t been gone,” Feinstein told a Los Angeles Times reporter after having been gone for quite some time. “You should … I haven’t been gone. I’ve been working.”
“You’ve been working from home is what you’re saying?” the reporter asked.
“No, I’ve been here. I’ve been voting. Please, either know or don’t know,” Feinstein continued.
JUST IN: Hillary Clinton has said Dianne Feinstein should not resign.
Clinton has said that Republicans would not allow judges to get confirmed if Feinstein resigned.
In the three months Feinstein was gone, judges were stalled.

Clinton Questions Biden’s Age
Oddly enough, while Clinton is perfectly content with allowing 89-year-old Dianne Feinstein to continue working in the Senate, she also recently said concerns about President Biden’s age (he’s almost a decade younger) are legitimate.
“It’s a concern for anyone,” the former First Lady said. “We’ve had presidents who had fallen before who were a lot younger, and people didn’t go into heart palpitations.”
“But his age is an issue, and people have every right to consider it.”
By the year 2030, Biden will still be younger than Feinstein is today.

Also in her interview with Time, Clinton indicated former President Donald Trump is more of a cult leader and downplayed his legitimacy as a President.
“You have to think of him, not as a former president or even as a presidential candidate so much as a cult leader,” she said. “He has a hold on a significant portion of the Republican Party.”
“He will most likely be the Republican nominee again … And be defeated by Joe Biden again,” Clinton predicted.
As The Political Insider explored earlier this week, Clinton claimed Trump engaged in a “rigged game” to try and steal the 2020 election and predicted a victory for him in 2024 would be the “end of democracy.”
