Hillary Clinton Says Donald Trump Uses ‘Fear and Bigotry’ When Talking About ICE and Border Crisis

Failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton bashed the Trump administration Thursday for using “fear and bigotry” to conduct ICE raids and promoting having a citizenship question on the next census.

“The Trump administration is preparing sweeping raids on undocumented people as the president threatens to go against the Supreme Court and demand citizenship information through the Census,” Clinton tweeted. “Weaponized fear and bigotry are the central projects of this administration.”

Clinton’s tweet came shortly after the news that the president will announce an executive action to include a citizenship question on the 2020 census, and reports that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents would get more aggressive in going after illegal immigrants.

The Supreme Court recently ruled in a 5-4 vote that adding a question denoting citizenship to the census “was a distraction.”

In addition to the census, there’s little doubt Clinton’s tweet was also inspired by a New York Times report that said ICE would launch a massive deportation raid on Sunday in ten major cities that might affect about 2,000 illegal aliens. Those apprehended would be held at detention centers in Texas and Pennsylvania before being processed for deportation, the Times reported.

No One Should Be Surprised Trump is Taking Action

In June, Trump announced he would delay the ICE raids for two weeks to give Congress more time to find a solution to the border crisis.

Obviously, that hasn’t happened yet.

No one should be surprised by this move, including Hillary Clinton. President Trump promised he would tackle our illegal immigration problem that every president before him has ignored, and now he is simply living up to his campaign promises.

We should wish every politician would do the same! We should wish previous presidents had the guts to end the border crisis before we got all the way to Trump.

But here we are. This problem has to be solved. And Donald Trump is doing everything he can to do just that, no matter how much the critics yell.
