Hillary Clinton Says America’s ‘Double Standard’ For Women Shows Our ‘Absolute Misogyny’

The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said Sunday that America has “some absolute misogyny.”

During an interview, CNN host Fareed Zakaria asked the former Secretary of State, “Do you think that the United States today is still misogynistic in many aspects of its life?”

‘There is some absolute misogyny’

Clinton replied, “I think that the unconscious biasses that exist in our society, in any society, even ones where on paper they have advanced much further with things like paid family leave, for example, paid child care and the like to empower women to make their own choices.  That still is at work.”

“The double standard, particularly in public life and not only in political public life but business life, the life of the media and the arts and so much else, yes, there is some absolute misogyny that certainly lives online,” Clinton said.

Hillary added, “It’s kind of deep in the DNA what we expect women to be.”

She continued, “We’re okay with kind of opening the doors and allowing our daughters, our granddaughters, you know, to get great educations, compete for great jobs, but there’s still something inside that when a woman says, wait a minute, I would like to lead, I’d like to be in charge, I’d like to be your president or chief executive or whatever it might be — little alarm bells, little unconscious alarm bells start to ring.”

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses

Obviously, Clinton has been blaming her own 2016 loss on supposed misogyny for the last three-plus years. Now she’s continuing the same tirade by pointing to Elizabeth Warren’s recent decision to drop out of the 2020 Democratic primary due to poor performance.

Let’s Get Real, Hillary

Two questions for Hillary.

One, since half or more of Democratic primary voters are women, is she saying they too are misogynistic? That they hate their own gender? That’s absurd on its face.

Does Mrs. Clinton ever stop to wonder if maybe voters rejected her and Warren because they were horrible candidates who ran equally terrible campaigns?

If You Really Want a Woman Candidate…

Secondly, there still is a woman in the Democratic race – Tulsi Gabbard. Why doesn’t Hillary or Liz get behind the last remaining female 2020 Democrat if having a woman in the White House is their priority?

Oh that’s right, Clinton dismissed Mrs. Gabbard as a “Russian asset” some time ago. Talk about glass ceilings.

Hillary Clinton lost in 2016 because she was a bad candidate. End of story. Elizabeth Warren did not win the 2016 Dem primary because her own party rejected her. Both failures had nothing to do with her gender.

No matter how many excuses both women continue to make.
