New Poll Shows Hillary Would Lose Popular Vote Today

Hillary Clinton poll

Despite over 90 percent of the mainstream media’s coverage of the Trump administration being negative, that isn’t hitting the President’s approval quite as hard as they’d like.

Two days after Stormy Daniels sat down with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper on “60 Minutes” to discuss her alleged affair with Trump, Trump’s approval rating continued trending upwards. CNN’s own polling showed 42 percent approve of the way Trump is handling the presidency, which was up seven points since February.

Rasmussen’s daily Presidential tracking poll puts Trump’s approval at 48 percent today, higher than Obama at the same point during his Presidency.

Humorously, Hillary Clinton’s “approval rating” has continued to dwindle without her occupying the White House, and without a media relentlessly attacking her every move.

According to the Daily Caller:

Hillary Clinton’s popularity has taken a sharp downward turn since the 2016 election, according to a poll released this week by The Wall Street Journal and NBC News.

The poll indicates that only 27 percent of those asked viewed her somewhat favorably — compared to 30 percent last August. An average of polls rated her favorability at 42.3 percent in November of 2016.

In contrast, her unfavorable rating has remained virtually unchanged in the 18 months since the election. Compared to 54.4 percent who viewed Clinton negatively in November of 2016, the new poll shows 52 percent having an unfavorable view of her.

Back in 2013, Quinnipiac poll found that Hillary Clinton was the most popular politician in the United States, and was even more popular than Obama at the time. The next year, Hillary tied with Barbara Bush as the “most admired” first lady in the last quarter century.

The tides have clearly turned.

With her favorability as it is now, it’s questionable whether or not Hillary would even win the popular vote if the election were held today.
