James Comey is out on a media tour to promote his new book, which he’s presented as an autobiographical work, but the only reason anyone is tuning in to his interviews is in hopes of gleaning some new “dirt” on the Trump administration.
Instead, the book basically confirms that Comey had Hillary’s interests in mind. While Hillary loves to blame Comey for re-opening the FBI’s investigation into her private email server close to the election, Comey says that he did that to validate Hillary’s “inevitable” Presidency. Comey also said his entire family supported Hillary Clinton, and that his wife was distraught when Trump won.
Yesterday, he admitted that he thinks Hillary “probably” would’ve been a better President.
There it is: Comey says we’d probably be better off if Hillary Clinton was president, adds that the country bears responsibility for poor presidential choices.

Ironic, because that’s not the only new book out that touches on the 2016 election. According to another, Hillary has a new excuse for her defeat. What is it this time? That she never intended to be President or something.
According to the Daily Beast, in the new book by Amy Chozick, who has been covering Hillary for a decade, Hillary made the comment right as she conceded defeat on election night.
“…That’s when Robby [Mook], drained and deflated, watching the results with his team in a room down the hall from Hillary’s suite, labored into the hallway of the Peninsula to break the news. Hillary didn’t seem all that surprised. ‘I knew it. I knew this would happen to me….’ Hillary said, now within a couple of inches of his face. ‘They were never going to let me be president.’”
Who is “they”? The American public?
I guess “they” didn’t mind her being given a Senate seat, or being made Secretary of State, but “they” are drawing the line at the Presidency. Sure.
Perhaps referring to half the nation as “deplorable” wasn’t the best strategy for someone running to represent them. That infamous “basket of deplorables” comment, by the way, is discussed in Chozick’s book, and it’s worse than you thought! “That was no slip of the tongue, since “Hillary always broke down Trump supporters into three baskets,” Chozick said of the incident. The three types are:
- Basket #1: The Republicans who hated her and would vote Republican no matter who the nominee.
- Basket #2: Voters whose jobs and livelihoods had disappeared, or as Hillary said, ‘who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens in their lives and their futures.’
- Basket #3: The Deplorables. This basket includes ‘the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic—you name it.’
“The Deplorables always got a laugh, over living-room chats in the Hamptons, at dinner parties under the stars on Martha’s Vineyard, over passed hors d’oeuvres in Beverly Hills, and during sunset cocktails in Silicon Valley,” Chozick, who was at Hillary’s side for most the campaign, reported. “‘I really messed up,’ [Clinton] told aides that night,” Chozick writes of the evening when the “Deplorables” comment went public.
She had made these comments countless times prior. How nice of her to stop once she got caught.
