Here’s How Sharia Law Is Taking Over Your BEER

Sharia Law

Let’s get this fact straight immediately: Islam prohibits the consumption of alcohol altogether. The job of ‘driving a truck’ also prohibits the use of alcohol. So, what is the problem with the following story?

An Illinois jury awarded $240,000 in damages and back pay to two former Muslim truck drivers who claimed religious discrimination when they were fired in 2009 after refusing to make beer deliveries.

The jury delivered its verdict in 45 minutes, on Oct. 20.

A jury was convened to determine damages after US District Court Judge James E. Shadid ruled for Mahad Abass Mohamed and Abdkiarim Hassan Bulshale when Star Transport admitted liability in March. The men, both of whom are Somali-American Muslims, were represented by the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Judge Napolitano joined the Kelly File to speak about this case, and he was very pointed – not holding back his passion:

“It’s unfortunate when the government interferes in a private dispute over religious views and takes sides, and chooses one religion over another,” Judge Napolitano said, responding to Ms. Kelly’s accusation that the government had not provided Christians who object to workplace demands with the same protections as the Muslim truck drivers.

In my opinion, this religion thing is getting out of hand in the workplace both in the public and private sectors.

Not that I’m anti-religion. We’re in the U.S. after all, so believe what you will, but both prospective employees and employers are going to have to change up the job application process: Employer writing up a job contract should explicitly state that the job entails work that may or may not be objective to one’s religion or beliefs. Employees who sign on the dotted line agree not to sue based on these grounds.

Why do the Muslims come here in the first place if they don’t like our society?
