Fox News Host Harris Faulkner Slams Pelosi Over Hypocrisy

Fox News host Harris Faulkner took a few verbal jabs at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi after she attacked Fox, noting the Democrat’s hypocrisy following a tense debate with the President.

Pelosi was discussing a meeting she and Chuck Schumer had with President Trump, in which the pair were challenged to hold a debate on border wall funding in front of the press.

Trump encouraged the debate in front of the cameras, while Schumer and Pelosi encouraged him to hold talks behind closed doors instead.

“So I don’t think we should have a debate in front of the press on this,” Pelosi admitted.

Pundits openly wondered why the Democrats wouldn’t engage, transparency being one of their pet political keywords.

Pelosi attacks Fox News

In a press conference right after the meeting with Trump, Pelosi inexplicably took a shot at Fox News.

“I hear some of the reporters saying — Well, Fox reporters saying — why do we not want transparency in this discussion?” she said. “We don’t want to contradict the president when he was putting forth things that had no reality to them. No basis in fact.”

Yes, we’re supposed to believe Pelosi and Schumer didn’t want to hide behind closed doors because they wanted to spare the President from being contradicted.

Faulkner unloads on Pelosi

After playing that clip, a noticeably ticked off Faulkner challenged Pelosi on her hypocrisy yet again.

“Well, she called out Fox reporters. Not one reporter said, ‘Hey Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, why did you guys shut down the government earlier this year?'” Faulkner leveled. “If these terms are all going to remain the same, why did they want to shut down the government?”

Watch the video:

Indeed, Democrats were more than happy to shut down the government in April of 2017, when they demanded no conservative riders be added to the funding bill and noting that “any shutdown … will be blamed on President Trump and Republicans.”

Rep. Gerry Connolly admitted at the time, “we’re willing to (shut down the government) if that’s what it takes to protect some really critical programs that reflect values we’re passionate about.”

The resistance party believed that, being the party out of power, the Republicans would be saddled with the blame. Now, as they assume power in the House, they still believe the President will be blamed? Faulkner is right – they’re hypocrites.
