Students Claim to be Paddled After Gun Violence Walkout

If this story is true, it’s a fantastic example of old-school punishment exacted on insolent miscreants.

Of course, if the details are accurate, expect liberals to scream their lungs out about brutality, cruelty, and speech suppression.

During last week’s national walkout day, students across the country left their classroom to protest gun violence in schools. We learned that many of these demonstrations weren’t authentic – in fact, many were “astroturfed.” Outside liberal groups promoted these events, and actually pushed students to protest for other liberal causes that had nothing to do with guns.

While plenty of teachers were content to let their students skip part of the school day, parading around for the abolition of the Second Amendment, we know of at least one school district that actually suspended students for participating.

And here I thought that was the kind of punishment merited by walking out of class over a silly protest. But now we’re learning about one school where students really got their comeuppance, good and hard.

According to USA Today, a rural school in Arkansas allegedly approved the paddling of three students who participated in the walkout.

Public school officials in a rural Arkansas district allegedly “swatted” three students with a paddle as punishment after participating in last week’s walkout protests against gun violence.

Jerusalem Greer said her child and two others attending Greenbrier Public Schools in north-central Arkansas received physical punishment after leaving their classroom as part of the nationwide wave of demonstrations known as National Walkout Day.

The school has confirmed that the students were given a choice for punishment: paddling or suspension. The students reportedly opted for a paddlin’.

Wait a second…where have I see this type of punishment before. Oh, yes, I’ve got it!

How old-school is that? A paddling for skipping class? I bet those kids learned their lesson if the punishment actually happened.
