On Monday, Republican Congressman Jeff Duncan of South Carolina wore a “Let’s Go Brandon” mask on the House floor.
And at least one Democrat was very unhappy about it.

“Let’s Go Brandon” has become a social media and pop culture phenomenon that comes from an NBC reporter claimed NASCAR fans were cheering race winner Brandon Brown instead of what the crowd was actually chanting: “F*** Joe Biden.”
POLITICO reporter Olivia Beavers tweeted on Monday, “Spotted at House votes: GOP Rep. Jeff Duncan of SC wearing a mask with a phrase that Republicans are using in place of F*** Joe Biden.”
When NBC News’ Jake Sherman tweeted, “South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan just walked off the floor with a ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ mask on,” Duncan cheekily responded with a mask emoji.
However, not everyone thought this was fun and games.
Democratic Party chairwoman for Oconee, South Carolina, Jody Gaulin, was outraged.
Newsweek reported that Gaulin told The Seneca Journal, “Not only does Jeff Duncan not deliver for the people of the third district—I cannot think of a thing he has truly done—he now sports a vulgar slogan on his mask and walks off the floor!”
She added, “The hypocrisy of the Faith and Freedom BBQ is exposed!”
“Let’s go Brandon” has taken a life of its own at this point.
Even in hip-hop music. Rapper Bryson Gray’s hit song, “Let’s Go Brandon” went to number one quickly but then was banned by YouTube for alleged misinformation.

It will be interesting to see how far and wide “Let’s Go Brandon” goes now that even members of Congress are having fun with it.
As for President Joe Biden’s thoughts, a White House official recently told The Washington Post he has “never heard” of the saying.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
