WATCH: The Reason Behind The GOP Assassination Attempt Explained In 42 Seconds!

When we heard the news that a Trump-hating, Bernie Sanders supporter targeted Republican congressmen with bullets, it was easy to figure out that it happened because of the violent and hateful rhetoric the left has aimed at Trump, his supporters, Republicans, and conservatives for the last few years.

How many times can you say Trump is the reincarnation of Hitler and that “the GOP WILL KILL PEOPLE!!!11!” before some crazy person is inspired to take matters into their own hands? I don’t have the final number for you, but apparently we hit that breaking point on Wednesday.

This shouldn’t be controversial to say – they’ve admitted it! After hearing the news of the shooting, many leftists flocked to Twitter to celebrate and justify the assassination attempt.

Some pointed to Rep. Steve Scalise’s support of the NRA as karma (in what world does a political hit man shooting at unarmed elected officials show the need for gun control?! Those congressmen and staff should have been armed!), saying they got what they deserved, that the shooting was in “self-defense” for repealing Obamacare, etc. And these are “blue check-mark” people, not anonymous Twitter eggs or regular folk, who, by the way, said the same and worse.

H/T Twitchy

That’s the level things are at right now on the left. If you live in your little liberal bubble, purge your friends of anyone who disagrees with you, dehumanize them, and make it easier to justify violence.

I think the biggest problem is that no matter what Republicans do, the left says, “PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DIE!!!” If a crazy hears that the GOP is going to kill people, they think, “Why not kill them first?” They think they’re in a kill-or-be-killed situation, or one where it’s acceptable to kill a few to save millions.

This very brief (there are a TON of examples) compilation of elected Democrats ranting that “PEOPLE WILL DIE!!!11!!” because of Republicans shows exactly why the shooting in Alexandria happened:

To an unstable mind, hearing that Republicans are killing people is a call to arms.

This is also seen in the “hate” rhetoric the left has been using in the last decade. I first noticed it with “#H8” symbols liberals painted on anyone who didn’t support gay marriage. There used to be a saying, “Hate is a very strong word,” but lefties were happy to casually use it on more than half the country, and continue to do so. Everything is “HATE, HATE, HATE.” Not wanting men in girls’ restrooms is HATE, not supporting Sharia Law is HATE, wanting to enforce border laws is HATE. It’s easy to lose sight of someone’s humanity when you give them the HATE label. Meanwhile, liberals hold signs saying “Love Trumps Hate,” yet they’re the ones who’ve been hatefully rioting, beating people, and calling for violence.

This “othering,” demonization, and dehumanization of anyone on the right has led directly to where we are today: a dangerously divided country.

I don’t understand some calls from the right not to “politicize” this political shooting. It was a deliberate attack on Republicans for being Republicans – by definition it’s already politicized and should be! It’s a hate crime! We cannot let the cycle of extreme rhetoric from the left continue. We just saw it can motivate deranged people to try to kill.

Liberals, you need to own this and change your ways. Time to look at the rest of us as human beings with the same rights to life and speech that you have. Look past your own projected hate and talk to us as people – dismissing, shunning, and shutting us out is only making things worse.

We need to have an exchange of ideas and information. If we did, then you would know that 2 million Americans just dropped Obamacare and that mortality unexpectedly rose under Obamacare nationally and for those in Medicare expansion states. That’s the kind of important information to have before you scream that we want to kill people, when, in fact, we see that Obamacare is collapsing and we want to save them.

Tone down the extremist rhetoric, work with us, and we might even save a few lives.
