It looks like fans of Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson are going to see a lot more of the reality TV star. Especially if those fans are also Fox News viewers. Robertson is officially joining the network as a contributor, appearing on various programs and starting his own Fox News radio podcast, aptly titled The Willie Robertson Podcast. This is awesome!
The Blaze reports:
Fox News Radio on Thursday announced that it would partner with Willie Robertson for a new podcast featuring the “Duck Dynasty” star available early April.
The weekly program will focus on family and faith issues and feature celebrity guest interviews, the network said in a release.
Each podcast would be available on FoxNewsRadio.com and last roughly 45 minutes. Additional programing will also be offered on iTunes.
Fox News Radio said that it will release three episodes for the show’s debut, one of which would include an interview with NFL player Benjamin Watson.
Watson is an incredible choice as one of Robertson’s first guests. A New Orleans Saints star tight end and Super Bowl champion, Watson gained extra fame as an outspoken Christian and has gained notoriety for leveling the Black Lives Matter movement as “embarrassing.”
The Daily Beast adds that “As a paid contributor, Robertson will also make appearances across the cable channel’s programming.”
The Robertson family caused quite a stir when it was revealed that Willie and family patriarch, Phil Robertson, despite both being true Christian conservatives, chose two very different candidates to support this election cycle.
While Willie might “like him some Trump,” Phil endorsed Ted Cruz for president saying he is a “Godly” man who “can do the job.”
No matter what path the two choose to get there, there’s no denying their conservative and Christian values. Who could ever forget the season finale where the Robertson family announced they would be giving the gift of a home to an old family friend who had fallen on difficult times?
