Georgia GOP Senate Runoff Candidate Perdue Says He Will Fly AOC In To Campaign For His Opponent

AOC Perdue

U.S. Senator David Perdue said he would buy a plane ticket for the radically liberal Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to come to Georgia and campaign for his opponent, Democrat Jon Ossoff, in the January runoff election.

NBC News Senior Digital Politics Reporter Alex Seitz-Wald reported, “During a campaign stop Monday afternoon, Perdue reportedly said the New York Democrat was going to be down in Georgia, saying he wants her to come down to the state and that he will buy her ticket.”

Perdue On AOC: ‘I’m Going To Buy Her A Ticket!’

Perdue reportedly said of Ocasio-Cortez, “She’s going to be down here. I’m going to buy her a ticket! I want her to come down to Georgia. We’ll have that debate.”

Sen. Kelly Loeffler is facing an important Georgia runoff election that will determine if Republicans keep the U.S. Senate.

Ocasio-Cortez is a self-described Democratic socialist whose radical “Green New Deal,” a piece of legislation supposedly designed to combat climate change but that contains many big government items that have nothing to do with that goal, has an estimated price tag of up to $93 trillion over the course of a decade.

Former Congressional Budget Officer Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin says the plan would “tally between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10-years.”

This “plan’s” cost would amount to about $650,000 per U.S. household.

Vice President Mike Pence Stumps For Perdue

That is not going to fly in Georgia. No wonder Perdue wants to buy her a plane ticket to come to his state.

Ocasio-Cortez tried to explain why she subscribes to “democratic socialism” in a 2019 Business Insider interview.

“So when millennials talk about concepts like democratic socialism, we’re not talking about these kinds of ‘Red Scare’ boogeyman,” she said. “We’re talking about countries and systems that already exist that have already been proven to be successful in the modern world.”

“We’re talking about single-payer health care that has already been successful in many different models, from Finland to Canada to the UK,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

On Friday, Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Georgia to campaign for both Perdue and Loeffler.

“I can tell you firsthand that he’s been one of the greatest and staunchest allies of our MAGA agenda in the United States Senate,” Pence said of Perdue.

“For all we’ve done together, for all we have yet to do, we need the great state of Georgia to defend the majority, and the road to a Senate Republican majority goes straight through the state of Georgia,” Pence told the crowd.

“The Republican Senate majority could be the last line of defense for all that we’ve done to defend this nation, revive our economy, and preserve the God-given liberties that we hold dear,” the Vice President added.

Perdue could be on to something in implying that Ocasio-Cortez has really become the ultimate secret weapon for the Republican Party. The more she spews her radical nonsense, the more she pushes moderate voters over to the Republican side.

Perhaps she isn’t so bad after all!
