Former President George H. W. Bush was discharged from the hospital Monday after being treated for low blood pressure and fatigue, according to his spokesman.

Bush, 93, who suffers from a form of Parkinson’s disease, has had a number of health concerns over recent years has been in and out of the hospital throughout the past few months. But Bush has now been released from Southern Maine Health Care hospital after being admitted on May 27.

The 41st president is “deeply appreciative” for the “terrific care and the many good wishes” throughout the past week, Bush’s spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted.

This comes as Bush was reportedly hospitalized just hours after former first lady Barbara Bush’s funeral in late April and put into the intensive care unit after contracting an infection that spread to his blood. (RELATED: Report: George H.W. Bush In ICU Just Days After Wife’s Death)
