Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle Confirms Talks to Become Trump’s Press Secretary

Fox News host and personality Kimberly Goilfoyle has confirmed she’s in talks with President Donald Trump’s White House about a communications position, and may replace press secretary Sean Spicer.

Guilfoyle said serving the Trump administration would be a “honor” and she’s known Trump for a decade.

She confirmed it in an interview for the San Francisco based Mercury News newspaper. Guilfoyle, who was once married to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who could end up being her Fox News replacement!

This is incredible:

“I’m a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country,” Guilfoyle said. “I think it’d be a fascinating job, it’s a challenging job, and you need someone really determined and focused, a great communicator in there with deep knowledge to be able to handle that position.”

“It has to be somebody with a very close relationship, where there’s trust there, there’s inherent loyalty, someone who’s been there from the beginning,” she added.

In an interview with this news organization at Fox News headquarters before her show Monday, as part of an interview request granted several weeks ago, Guilfoyle said she thought she had that kind of relationship with Trump. She’s known Trump and his family for more than a decade, she said — they first met at charity events when she moved to New York around 2004 to start a TV career.

Interestingly, Guilfoyle would be the third Fox news personality to join the Trump administration. Heather Nauert is now the spokeswoman for the State Department and Fox contributor K.T. McFarland is now the White House’s deputy national security adviser.
