The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, led by Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, a former cabinet member in the Obama administration, has voted to ban travel to the state of Alabama over their new pro-life law.
Solis authored a motion to ban travel associated with official county business to the Yellowhammer State for a period of one year, and the board voted in the affirmative.
The ban specifically excludes certain emergency response needs that may arise. One also has to wonder just how much business officials from Los Angeles County would have in a state over 2,000 miles away.
As such, we know the gesture is merely symbolic, but take a look at the reasoning Solis uses to justify such a travel ban. Abortion, she claims, is a Constitutional right. It also apparently aids in the “wellbeing of families.”
That’s right – killing a baby is what’s best for the family.
“We must stand in solidarity and in opposition against extremist and unconstitutional laws that put the health and wellbeing of families at risk,” Solis said in a statement. “The constitutional and human right to a safe and legal abortion is part of the very fabric of the United States.”
Only a Democrat, particularly an acolyte of the Obama administration, could turn the literal act of ending a child’s life into something that benefits the family.
If Solis is so concerned about the children she might want to take a look at what’s happening in her own county.
A recent audit shows that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) left some kids in “unsafe and abusive situations” for months.
The audit stemmed from a case involving 8-year-old Gabriel Fernandez, who died after enduring months of torture at the hands of his mother and her boyfriend, despite teachers pleading with the county to step in.
Perhaps Alabama should vote to ban all travel to California until child abuse, neglect, and murder that could have been stopped by the DCFS is corrected.
As Obama’s Secretary of Labor, Solis wasn’t a big fan of adhering to laws and rules, being blatantly caught violating the Hatch Act in 2014.
She was caught soliciting funds for his re-election campaign while on the taxpayer’s dime.
“This is Hilda Solis calling, um, just calling you off-the-record here,” she is heard saying to a subordinate on an audio recording. “Wanted to ask you if you could, um, help us get folks organized to come to a fundraiser that we’re doing for Organizing for America for Obama campaign.”
The Hatch Act prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government from engaging in some forms of political activity.

We don't need this crap in Alabama! Stay the hell away!
To California Politicians, nunya! Its none of your business what Alabama does! ( On Protecting Live Fetus's right to life.) That is the whole deal about the constitution and States Rights! Please don't try to impose your leftist/ communist views on Alabama's Citizens! They can quite well handle their own State Government Thank you!
How very USSR of her. That's where the idea comes from. In the former Soviet Atheist Doctrine State you were required to have one passport to travel inside the USSR. Perhaps that's not such a bad idea we should require more stringent documentation from the open borders states. on their way to becoming territories. And then you need a second passport to travel abroad. We should require both passports from states opposing the Wall.
Friday joke of the day ~
Unfortunately, I'm Stuck out here with these wambats. At least I'm in a very RED County
This doesn't deserve a comment !
How is it that she will go to hell for not slaughtering babies. I would like to know you justify that
I am not in agreement and i live in Alabama. Tired of you outsiders trying to tell us that slaughtering babies is a good thing. Great Governor
