Former Bush Spokeswoman Slams Harry Reid in a BIG WAY!

Dana Perino, former White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush, hammered Senate minority leader Harry Reid as “an absolutely poisonous figure” in Washington.

Perino was promoting her new book on the Hugh Hewitt show when she was asked about Reid’s class and inability to say anything nice about the former President.

Specifically, Hewitt was referring to a comment Reid made about Jeb Bush declaring that it’s time to give Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch a vote in the Senate.

Reid gave Bush a backhanded compliment, and took a shot at the former President in the process.

“No wonder Jeb Bush stood up for Lynch in New Hampshire,” Reid said. “Bush didn’t just show grace in doing that, he also showed more common sense than his brother showed in eight years as president of the United States.”

Hewitt asked Perino, “He can’t give a compliment, can he?”

That’s when the current host of The Five dug in and blasted Reid harder than his exercise bands.

Perino said Reid is “an absolutely poisonous figure,” and a “disaster for this country.”

Then she really got going.

“I think a lot of the dysfunction in Washington can be traced directly to his doorstep,” Perino added.  “I think it is very good for the country, for the world, and especially for the Democrats that Harry Reid is retiring.”

“I’ve never seen anything so abhorrent in my life as Harry Reid.”

Listen to the segment below…

Is Dana Perino right about Harry Reid? Is he a poisonous figure? Will the country and the world be a better place with Harry Reid retiring?
