FBI Treating Attempted GOP Assassinations As ‘Assault,’ Not Terrorism

Last week, crazed Bernie Sanders fanatic James T. Hodgkinson set out to murder House Republicans. However, the FBI aren’t treating the attempted mass assassination as a terror attack.

Instead, FBI Assistant Director in Charge Andrew Vale said Tuesday that they’re treating it as an “assault”:

“At this time the FBI has assessed that the deceased shooter, James T. Hodgkinson, acted alone. We also assess that there was no nexus to terrorism. The FBI is investigating the shooting as an assault of a member of Congress and assault on a law enforcement officer,” Vale said.

A press release issued by the FBI prior to the press conference also gave no indication of Hodgkinson’s motive. This despite the fact that he had a list of names of six Republican lawmakers in his pocket at the time he opened fire and that he researched the Republican National Convention the night before his attempted assassinations.

Oh, and he was also a member of a Facebook group called “Terminate The Republican Party.”

The FBI must have also missed the part where Hodgkinson actually asked if the members playing baseball were Republicans or Democrats. He only came back to the field with his rifle after he found out it was Republicans.

It wasn’t terrorism? Really?

And the tweets go on and on. But of course, liberals on Twitter seem to believe that the FBI’s decision not to categorize Hodgkinson’s attack as terror is a matter of racism:

Good grief. Hodgkinson’s attempted mass assassination was absolutely an act of domestic terrorism. The FBI got this one wrong.
