Tesla CEO Elon Musk hammered Senator Elizabeth Warren after she accused him of not paying taxes and said he was “freeloading off everyone else.”
“Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else,” Warren tweeted, a reference to Musk’s recently being named Time Magazine’s 2021 Person of the Year.
“Stop projecting,” Musk replied.
His tweet linked to a Fox News opinion piece that described Warren as a fraud for claiming Native American ancestry for years before finally apologizing and admitting she had embellished her claims in 2019.
Musk though wasn’t finished. In fact, he was locked and loaded for battle.

SpaceX Founder Elon Musk continued to chide Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) for her comments.
“You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason,” Musk tweeted. “Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen.”
Musk, the world’s richest man currently, also took a shot at Warren’s central theme that he doesn’t pay taxes.
“And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year,” he added.
“Don’t spend it all at once … oh wait you did already,” he said in one final jab to the Senator.

Musk was named Time’s 2021 Person of the Year with the magazine pointing to his “bold vision” and describing him as “a throwback to our glorious industrial past.”
According to a report in The Hill, Musk paid less than $70,000 in federal income taxes between 2015 and 2017, and did not pay anything in 2018.
The report adds that the Tesla CEO pays less in taxes because he doesn’t take a salary from his company but instead funds projects through loans against the firm’s shares.
They add that Musk is “operating above board.”
However, a CNBC report last month indicates Musk is facing a $15 billion tax bill this year.
His spat with Warren isn’t the first time Musk has appeared to be red-pilled, going after Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) recently.
“We must demand that the extremely wealthy pay their fair share. Period,” Sanders tweeted.
“I keep forgetting that you’re still alive,” Musk shot back.
The CEO tweeted in 2020 that he was moving Tesla headquarters and any future projects out of California after the state tried to keep their current factory in Fremont closed due to local COVID restrictions at the time.
Musk recently took a shot at Democrat spending bills saying the government “is simply the biggest corporation, with the monopoly on violence.”
“It does not make sense to take the job of capital allocation away from people who have demonstrated great skill in capital allocation, and give it to an entity that has demonstrated very poor skill in capital allocation, which is the government,” he said regarding the spending bills.
