A self-described father of a college graduate was caught on video asking Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren about her “plan to cancel student loan debt.” He wanted to know if he will be able to get his money back after “working a double shift” to pay for his daughter’s college education.
Needless to say, Warren’s answer did not appear to satisfy the man.
In a video featured at Twitchy, Warren is approached by the father who asks her about the senator’s student loan cancellation plan.

He Asks A Legitimate Question
“My daughter’s getting out of school, I saved all my money, so she doesn’t have any student debt,” the man says. “Am I going to get my money back?”
“Of course not,” Warren replied.
“So, we end up paying for people who didn’t save any money, then those who did the right thing get screwed,” the father says.
Then he talks about his “buddy” who he says makes more money than him but is irresponsible with his earnings. Meanwhile he has worked a “double shift” and saved his hard-earned dollars to make sure his daughter wasn’t in debt.
Warren Laughing?
“So, you’re laughing,” the man says, replying to Warren’s reaction. “Yes, that’s exactly what you’re doing,” he says after Warren appears to reject the idea that she’s laughing.
“We did the right thing — and we get screwed,” the frustrated man says who then just walked away.

Warren’s campaign site features a “plan to cancel student loan debt on day one of my presidency” which includes giving debt relief to “42 million Americans.”
“I will start to use existing laws on day one of my presidency to implement my student loan debt cancellation plan that offers relief to 42 million Americans — in addition to using all available tools to address racial disparities in higher education, crack down on for-profit institutions, and eliminate predatory lending” the Warren campaign website declares.
“Here’s how it will work,” it continues. “I’ll direct the Secretary of Education to use their authority to begin to compromise and modify federal student loans consistent with my plan to cancel up to $50,000 in debt for 95% of student loan borrowers (about 42 million people).”

The Father Was Right
Warren also claims, “I’ll also direct the Secretary of Education to use every existing authority available to rein in the for-profit college industry, crack down on predatory student lending, and combat the racial disparities in our higher education system.”
There is more to her plan which you can read in its entirety.
But the one thing you won’t find is where this hardworking father and others like him who have paid for their children’s education can get a refund.
No, chances are their taxes would go up under a President Warren to pay for others’ schooling.
The father was right to be angry.
