Elizabeth Warren Announces Plans For ‘Blue New Deal’ Because Green New Deal Doesn’t Go ‘Far Enough’

We can only imagine how much it would cost.

Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) just reminded everyone what a radical liberal she really is when she called for a “Blue New Deal” to counteract Bernie Sanders’ infamous Green New Deal, which she claims does not go “far enough.”

Warren made this comment during a CNN town hall meeting on Thursday night.

“Does your commitment to the environment include a ban on the export of American oil?” a member of the audience asked.

“See what I want to see us do — I hadn’t thought about that in terms of that specific part — what I want to see us do is get off an oil economy, not only for ourselves, but for the rest of the world,” Warren replied. “I want to see us move entirely to green. And let me say on this, I not only support a Green New Deal — I don’t think it goes far enough — I also have a Blue New Deal, because we’ve got to be thinking about our oceans as well that we need to protect.”

The Green New Deal was originally introduced in February of last year by Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), according to The Blaze, which described it as a “radical policy proposal meant to save the environment through massive changes to the American economy, infrastructure, and transportation methods.” The resolution was a proposal to “upgrade or replace every building in U.S. for state-of-the-art energy efficiency,” but it was widely criticized for an initial supporting document that stated, “We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.”

Ocasio-Cortez has claimed that the plan will cost $10 trillion, but a study carried out by the American Action Forum has said that it is actually likely to cost a staggering $93 trillion.

Warren announced her “Blue New Deal” back in December, with it’s focus being on helping the oceans. Her plan calls for an “end to offshore drilling, investments in offshore wind farms, and new regulations for the fishing industry.”

This serves as a reminder of just how dangerous it is to let Warren anywhere near the White House. She would destroy America as we know it, and put our country even further in debt to fund her radical plans. Should she win the Democratic nomination (which looks unlikely at this point), it is crucial that we ensure she will lose to President Donald Trump.
