You knew sooner or later, James Comey’s sanctimonious tweets were going to get thrown back at him. Ever since the former FBI Director openly joined Twitter, he’s been sending out smug messages meant to troll the current President.
Fox News reporter Ed Henry responded to one recently and tossed it right back in his face.
The former FBI Director took to social media to respond to reports that current FBI Director Christopher Wray allegedly threatened to quit in the wake of pressure to fire Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
McCabe was referenced in an FBI official’s text messages regarding an “insurance policy” to take down President Trump.
Wray’s stand was praised by Comey who said it’s “Good to read reports of people standing up for what they believe in.”

Henry fired back in a huge way, sending a series of tweets in response that basically ask him about the official’s ‘missing’ texts and who exactly was in charge during the time they disappeared.
Any thoughts on #MissingTexts ? https://t.co/RnymA1M9Pi

If there was even an inkling of journalistic integrity in today’s mainstream media, reporters left and right would have been asking the same question.
But thus far, there has been nothing but crickets.

Henry wasn’t finished, however, asking Comey factiously: “Any idea who was FBI Director from Dec 2016 till May 2017 anything?”
We’ll give you three guesses, Jim, and the first two don’t count.

Those messages should have been lawfully preserved, so who is responsible for them being ‘lost?’
Others joined in on the Comey beatdown …
This is about the text messages exposing your former subordinates as partisan frauds, right? Did you ok the deletion, in the name of “standing up for what they believe in”? https://t.co/pQh5m5bl5F

Hey, @jamescomey, when you get sober or fall off your high horse, can you see if you can turn up any of those missing texts your agency was supposed to keep track of? Thanks. https://t.co/JmH9guKUwY

Maybe during this moment of “challenge and controversy,” Comey could perhaps stand up and admit the FBI was corrupted under his watch.
Do you think the FBI official’s text messages were honestly ‘lost,’ or is there something more diabolical at play? Share your thoughts below!
