On Wednesday, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy pressed White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki if President Joe Biden had ever visited America’s southern border.
Ever, as in during his 40+ year career in Washington, D.C.
The exchange took place during Wednesday’s White House briefing.

Doocy asked Psaki, “Has President Biden ever been to the southern border?”
“In his life?” Psaki responded, seemingly surprised.
“I will have to look back in my history books and check the times he’s been to the southern border,” she said.
Doocy replied, “We have looked all morning and we can’t find any record of him as president, vice president, senator, or even as a concerned citizen. Why would that be?”
Psaki again said she would look into it.
But Doocy kept pressing.
Doocy said that like many presidents, Biden has often liked to see in-person the damage done by hurricanes or wildfires in order to witness “for himself firsthand what the needs are of the local communities so that he can have an informed POV to make policies.”
That’s when Doocy asked why Biden wouldn’t go to Del Rio to witness the border crisis up close and personal.
“First of all, Peter, I think the situation at the border is the result of a broken system,” Psaki replied.
“He uses all of his experiences to inform how he governs, how he approaches challenges, and certainly he looks again at the last four years and the separation of children who were ripped from the arms of their parents as a way he does not want to proceed,” Psaki said of her boss, also including a slight against former President Donald Trump.
Doocy reported on Fox News’ “Hannity” last night that after several hours, Psaki hadn’t “circled back” with an answer to his question.
