President Trump continued his war of words with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, taunting him over his inability to get control over the Department of Justice and investigate true corruption on the other side of the political aisle.

During an interview that aired on Fox News Thursday morning, Trump lamented the fact that he had hired a weak man for AG. Unlike Eric Holder who once vowed to be Barack Obama’s “wingman,” Sessions has proven to be anything but loyal to the administration.

Even more incredible –  Sessions finally fired back at the President.

“I took control of the Department of Justice the day I was sworn in, which is why we have had unprecedented success at effectuating the President’s agenda,” Sessions declared.

He then took a shot of his own at Trump saying, “While I am Attorney General, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.”

Good. Great even. But their actions should be influenced by clear violations of the law and corruption on both sides of the aisle, and we have yet to see Sessions do anything involving Hillary Clinton’s criminal behavior, FISA abuses from the Obama administration, collusion on the part of Democrats with foreign officials.

President Trump agrees, running off a laundry list of items Sessions has failed to act on while ‘in control’ of the DOJ and mocking him with the line, “Come on Jeff, you can do it, the country is waiting!”

The President even pointed out that Reality Winner, the former government contractor accused of leaking confidential information to the media through her access at the NSA who has been sentenced to more than five years in prison, did less than Hillary in allowing classified documents to be accessed by foreign entities while it sat on her private server.

Senator Lindsey Graham hinted that Sessions time as AG is limited, suggesting the President is “very likely” to fire him after the midterm elections.

“I think there will come a time, sooner rather than later, where it will be time to have a new face and a fresh voice at the Department of Justice,” Graham said. “Clearly, Attorney General Sessions doesn’t have the confidence of the president.”

Judging by the list of corruption he has ignored thus far, Sessions shouldn’t have the confidence of the American people either.
