After newly leaked emails showed Barack Obama flat-out lied to the American people about his knowledge of Hillary Clinton’s private server, Donald Trump is calling for an investigation – into the President himself.
Despite claiming that he had only learned of Hillary’s private emails through media accounts, a message from one of her top aides, Cheryl Mills, revealed the truth about Obama’s knowledge.
“We need to clean this up – he (Obama) has emails from her – they do not say state.gov,” Mills wrote.
Now, Trump wants an investigation into what exactly Obama knew, and when he knew it.

Donald Trump on Tuesday called for an investigation into President Barack Obama after hacked emails from Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, published by WikiLeaks, suggested Obama may have known about Clinton’s use of a private email server.
In an interview with Reuters, Trump called the revelation “a big thing.”
“This means that he has to be investigated,” Trump said.
During a rally in Sanford, Florida, on Tuesday afternoon, Trump addressed the latest emails.

The Republican presidential nominee said “now I understand” why Obama supported Clinton in the presidential election.“Because he didn’t want to get caught up in the big lie,” he said. “We have to investigate the investigation. We have to investigate.”
There has been a significant and plausible theory that the reason the FBI did not push to prosecute Hillary was because they knew they’d have to drag President Obama into the mix as well.
Andrew McCarthy at the National Review wrote, “Hillary couldn’t be proven guilty without proving the president guilty as well.”
“In terms of the federal laws that criminalize mishandling of classified information, Obama not only engaged in the same type of misconduct Clinton did; he engaged in it with Clinton,” he wrote. “It would not have been possible for the Justice Department to prosecute Clinton for her offense without its becoming painfully apparent that 1) Obama, too, had done everything necessary to commit a violation of federal law, and 2) the communications between Obama and Clinton were highly relevant evidence.”
Perhaps James Comey and the FBI should have been more concerned with prosecuting those violations of federal law as opposed to finding ways out of them because of the people involved.
