During the 2016 presidential campaign, then-candidate Donald J. Trump stood out from his Democrat opponent Hillary Clinton in many ways, but the difference between the two was most noticeable when it came to their treatment of America’s law enforcement.
While Hillary Clinton was quick to blame and attack our police when an altercation with criminals made national headlines, Donald Trump stood by our cops, pledging to end the “war on cops” that was plaguing our nation.
Well, during a speech at the Major Cities Chiefs Associations Winter Conference President Trump continued to back America’s law enforcement, vowing “zero tolerance” for violence against our police and that each and every one of them were “role models” that everyone should look up to.
The president then advised members of America’s law enforcement to not allow anyone, especially the “dishonest media” to tell you or anyone that they are not “role models” causing the audience to erupt into applause: “Don’t let anyone ever tell you different, don’t let the dishonest media try and convince you that it’s different than that, because it’s not.”

President Trump’s support for America’s law enforcement should not be understated, as he was the first presidential candidate in U.S. history to receive the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council during a party’s primary process.
The NBPC’s President, Brandon Judd, explained the reason his union chose to back Donald Trump over his Republican primary challengers:
Unlike his opponents, Donald Trump is not a career politician, he is an outsider who has created thousands of jobs, pledged to bring about aggressive pro-American change, and who is completely independent of special interests. We don’t need a person who has the perfect Washington-approved tone, and certainly NOT another establishment politician in the W.H. Indeed, the fact that people are more upset about Mr. Trump’s tone than about the destruction wrought by open borders tells us everything we need to know about the corruption in Washington.
We need a person in the White House who doesn’t fear the media, who doesn’t embrace political correctness, who doesn’t need the money, who is familiar with success, who won’t bow to foreign dictators, who is pro-military and values law enforcement, and who is angry for America and NOT subservient to the interests of other nations. Donald Trump is such a man.
President Trump is right. America’s law enforcement should not allow the “dishonest media” to demonize their importance to our country. While Hillary Clinton, the left and their liberal media allies look to attack America’s police and border patrol agents at every turn, they know that the president that stands shoulder to shoulder with them!
