Don Lemon: Twitter Should Make Fake News Label On Trump’s Tweets ‘Bigger’

CNN’s Don Lemon claimed that Twitter is letting the President “drag us all right into the mud,” and they should continue labelling his tweets as fake news.

Trump: “I Find Joe To Be A Total Nut Job”

President Trump had joked on Twitter on Tuesday about the death of the “Morning Joe” presenter Joe Scarborough’s intern in 2001.

“The opening of a Cold Case against Psycho Joe Scarborough was not a Donald Trump original thought, this has been going on for years, long before I joined the chorus,” the President tweeted. “In 2016 when Joe & his wacky future ex-wife, Mika, would endlessly interview me, I would always be thinking about whether or not Joe could have done such a horrible thing? Maybe or maybe not, but I find Joe to be a total Nut Job, and I knew him well, far better than most,” he continued, adding that there were “so many unanswered & obvious questions, but I won’t bring them up now! Law enforcement eventually will?”

The fact that Twitter wouldn’t remove these tweets rather rattled CNN’s Don Lemon – the fact that they wouldn’t come on his show just added insult to injury.

“People have been removed from Twitter for far less outrageous behavior,” Lemon argued on his show on Tuesday. He referenced that Twitter have labelled some other tweets of the President talking about vote by mail initiatives as “misleading,” and encouraged them to “make the label bigger” and target him more.

Lemon: “Stop Hiding Behind The First Amendment”

“Twitter has become a cesspool, Jack Dorsey, [Twitter’s CEO] and listen, I know that you’re doing great things and you’re trying to help out people with your barbershop initiative and you’re donating money here, that does not make up for this disgusting behavior that you’re allowing, especially from the leader of the free world. It does not,” Lemon continued, saying that he wishes “someone would come up with another platform, honestly, so that everybody could just delete their accounts on Twitter and go to the other platform, because this is outrageous, disgusting behavior.”

Lemon pleaded with Dorsey to “stop hiding behind the First Amendment… [and] letting the president use their platform to drag us all right into the mud.”

I think this really shows just the attitude that Lemon and the other liberals have. They see the constitution as something to “hide behind,” instead of acknowledging they want to crush your constitutional rights to free speech and expression! If anyone is “hiding behind” something, it’s Lemon and his colleagues in the media hiding behind a mask of fake respect for your freedoms. In this particular case, Lemon has also ignored the fact that Scarborough has made the exact same jokes about killing his intern before! It’s one rule for them, and another for us.
