We hear the worst-case scenarios because the media wants our economy to collapse to keep President Trump from winning a second term.
They don’t care about what happens to people. If they can create enough chaos, they could ultimately destroy our republic.
There’s a whole lot of pork in that Senate bill and no doubt the House will add something too. They tried holding it hostage but, thankfully, there was enough outrage by even their own party that they backed off. They didn’t cede the war, just the battle. In the end they got some of the pork that they wanted. It’s still a dumpster fire of lard but not the disaster it would have been. Still doesn’t mean I like it, though.
PEOPLE ARE FREAKING OUT OVER WORD “PANDEMIC”
All pandemic means is that it’s in more than one area or country. Local disease outbreaks are called epidemics. When an epidemic is no longer local and shows up in several regions or countries, it is then considered a pandemic.
The word “pandemic” is not a measure of lethality or virulence. It is an indicator of spread. Calling Covid-19 a pandemic doesn’t mean that it’s really bad. It just means that it’s no longer localized. We have influenza pandemics every year, and very few countries and governments freak out to the unprecedented levels we’re seeing now, especially when influenza has killed a lot more people over the season than this virus has.
As I’ve said before, I’m not marginalizing anyone’s deaths, but this losing of everyone’s global minds over a word is doing far more damage to everyone than this virus is.
IS IT BAD ENOUGH TO SHUTDOWN EVERYTHING?
There are bad pockets such as New York and Washington, especially, but much of the country is barely affected, which is why the entire country should not continue to be shut down.
They have just tested more people in eight days than South Korea tested in eight weeks, and the results were promising. Ninety percent were not infected at all, and of those who were infected, the recovery rate was allegedly 98%. So that reality is not in line with the hysteria that the liberal media has created and is trying to keep going.
ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS DAMAGING TRUMP
Vulnerable people will have to continue to isolate themselves. Still, younger people and those who are healthy, especially in areas that are not hard-hit, should be able to return to work and get the economy going again before this turns into a recession that is far more destructive than the death toll from the Wuhan Virus.
We will see an increase of cases only because more people are being tested – but the more people they test, the more they show that this virus may be more contagious than the flu but so many people don’t show symptoms or have such mild symptoms that they didn’t even know they have it – and those cases are not recorded… so it does not have the fatality rate that we have been led to believe it has.
It has all been politicized because this is an election year and Orange Man Bad.
