Did Chris Cuomo Learn Any Lessons from His Painfully Awkward ‘Mine, Too’ Joke?

CNN host at a town hall last week made an offensive misstep — people on Twitter brutally called him out for it

CNN host Chris Cuomo apologized after being hit with major backlash for a joke he made about preferred pronouns during his network’s LGBTQ Town Hall this past Thursday night.

The question is: Did he learn any lasting lessons from what happened?

And will he do better going forward?

As is customary in LGBTQ circles these days, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) stated during the event that her preferred pronouns were “she, her, and hers” when she took the stage.

After she said this, Cuomo replied by joking, “Mine, too.”

“All right,” Harris responded bluntly.

The moment went viral for all the wrong reasons — with many on Twitter dubbing it “painfully awkward” and “disrespectful.”

The Twitter backlash started pouring in immediately — with even the National Center for Lesbian Rights calling Cuomo out right away.

“Dear Chris Cuomo, {People’s pronouns are not a punchline,” the center wrote on Twitter.

“In a year where LGBTQ Americans are finally being recognized on the national presidential stage, making jokes about gender pronouns is beneath your dignity. Please do better in the future.”

The backlash against Cuomo only grew from there, as politically correct Twitter users turned on him at lightning speed.

As the backlash got worse, Cuomo tried to save himself from the liberal lynch mob on social media by issuing an apology on Twitter.

“PLEASE READ: When Sen. Harris said her pronouns were she her and hers, I said ‘mine too.’ I should not have. I apologize,” Cuomo wrote.

“I am an ally of the LGBTQ community, and I am sorry because I am committed to helping us achieve equality. Thank you for watching our town hall,” he added.

However, even this apology tweet garnered Cuomo backlash.

Members of the liberal media have created humorless monsters among today’s politically correct-obsessed Left.

Perhaps this experience will cause Cuomo to think twice before his next awkward comment.
