Dick Morris, former adviser to President Clinton, has some advice for President Trump: Get it together or get ready to be impeached.
This shocking claim comes via a phone call Morris had with Betsy Rothstein of the Daily Caller.
Morris is skeptical of President Trump’s plan for Afghanistan. He says that the “deep state” orchestrated the plan, and Trump is doing their bidding.
According to Morris, the president’s well-received address regarding Afghanistan “represents an increasing surrender of Trump of his powers.”
This is bad. President Trump is bowing before the deep state to save his presidency. After being asked if Trump will be impeached, Morris delivers the kicker:
“It depends,” he says. “He has two ways to avoid it: one way is to do what I’m suggesting, fight fire with fire. The other is to be a puppet of the deep state.”
This is not as unlikely as it seems. Democrats are chomping at the bit to destroy our president. Many rank-and-file Democrats openly talk about impeaching the president. Congressional Republicans are reportedly mulling the idea of ditching Trump and pushing for impeachment.
Donald Trump didn’t come to Washington to make friends. And he’s succeeded….much to his own detriment.
But while political actors operate in the light, the deep state operates in the dark. President Trump should be careful. Being your own man in Washington makes you dangerous. Morris is right: Trump must fight back to stave off impeachment.
If he doesn’t, his presidency could be finished.
