174 House Democrats voted against amendment that would ban terrorists, convicted sex offenders, and others, from working at the TSA.
The amendment was added to the Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act, authored by Rep. Lauren Underwood, a Democrat from Illinois, and restricts the TSA from hiring anyone who is convicted of terrorism, sex crimes, and other violent offences. But for some reason, the vast majority of House Democrats didn’t want to vote for it.
“[The amendment] was pulled back by leadership because the socialist wing of the party did not want to have that amendment go forward on this bill,” said Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy, who criticized the Democrats for pulling the amendment. “When it was offered, overwhelmingly the majority of the House would like to see the TSA not hire terrorists or those who have been convicted of sexual misconduct with minors and others. But the socialist wing of the party, that controls now the Democratic Party, said that that could not be offered.”
Republicans were eventually able to include the amendment in the bill by working together with 42 rebel Democrats against the party leadership. This includes all of “The Squad,” which consists of AOC, Ilhan Omar, and others.
“It’s no surprise that Democrat logic in 2020 means taking marching orders from Justice Democrats to give TSA the ability to hire the Harvey Weinsteins of the world,” a Republican aide told the Washington Free Beacon. “A ‘second chance’ for sex offenders shouldn’t include patting down traveling families.”

It absolutely boggles the mind that Democrats, when given the chance, always vote against keeping Americans safe – whether it’s allowing criminal aliens over the border or in this case, letting convicted sex offenders pat people down for a living! The TSA was sued in 2014 for covering up sex offenses, but, of course, this doesn’t matter to the Democrats, who profess feminism and protecting women on one hand, then let sex criminals run rampant on the other.
