Democrats Own Witness Explains Why Trump Hasn’t Technically Been Impeached

Harvard law professor Noah Feldman, a key witness for the Democrats during congressional hearings, wrote a column explaining that President Trump hasn’t technically been impeached.

And we have Nancy Pelosi to thank.

“Both parts are necessary to make an impeachment under the Constitution: The House must actually send the articles and send managers to the Senate to prosecute the impeachment,” Feldman wrote in a column for Bloomberg News.

“The Senate must actually hold a trial,” he added.

The House Speaker recently announced that she would hold the articles of impeachment hostage until she could be assured of a fair hearing in the Senate.

Epic Impeachment Fail

Their own witness, a man who couldn’t understand the basics of what amounts to high crimes and misdemeanors is calling the Democrat party out for being too incompetent to properly and officially impeach the President.

In fact, he says Trump can essentially pretend it never happened as long as Pelosi keeps playing her game.

“If the House does not communicate its impeachment to the Senate, it hasn’t actually impeached the president,” Feldman continued.

“If the articles are not transmitted, Trump could legitimately say he wasn’t truly impeached at all.”

No worries, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been busy taunting Pelosi for the move, suggesting she might be “too afraid” to transmit “their shoddy work product” to the Senate.

More Failure

Worse yet for Democrats, another Harvard law professor has come out and expressed that Pelosi’s gambit is simply unconstitutional.

Alan Dershowitz responded to a colleague of his, Laurence Tribe, who supports Pelosi’s move.

“[Tribe] would withhold the trial until the Senate agreed to change its rules, or presumably until a new election put many more Democrats in the Senate, Dershowitz explained.

“Under his proposal, there might never be a Senate trial, but the impeachment would stand as a final and permanent condemnation of President Trump.”

Meanwhile, Pelosi’s colleagues are indicating she may withhold the articles indefinitely.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn said she should “keep it as long as it takes.”

“If you know and he’s told you what he’s going to do, let’s give him a fair trial and hang him,” Clyburn continued. “It’s the reverse of that.”

Pelosi is violating the Constitution by doing so, but President Trump isn’t technically impeached until she budges. What a hilarious conundrum for her to explain to her rabid extremist base.
