Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee Says Texans Who Don’t Wear Masks Face ‘Destiny Of Death’

On Wednesday, far-left Democratic Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, famous for bizarre, wild statements, declared that Texans who go maskless face “a destiny of death.”

On March 2, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that his state was lifting their mask mandate and other COVID restrictions, “100%”

Jackson Lee opined on the matter on the House floor, “Do not have a ‘remove mask’ party tonight, because you will be walking into a destiny of death.”

Jackson Lee’s ‘Destiny Of Death’ Comment Comes After Texas Opens Up

Jackson Lee’s comments come in the wake of Texas ending its mandatory mask restriction statewide, along with opening businesses back up.

A week ago, Texas’s Republican Governor Greg Abbott announced that the state’s COVID restrictions would be lifted.

“Texans have mastered the daily habits to avoid getting COVID,” Abbott said.

The governor also urged caution.

Abbots said, “Make no mistake, COVID has not suddenly disappeared. COVID still exists in Texas, in the United States and across the globe.”

“But it is clear from the recoveries, the vaccinations, the reduced hospitalizations and the safe practices that Texans are using, that state mandates are no longer needed,” the governor added.

Other states that have ended their mandatory mask-wearing include Montana, Mississippi, and Iowa. Some states like Florida and South Carolina never issued mandatory mask orders.

Also on Wednesday, White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said that he had concerns about the various states that are ending mask mandates.

Jackson Lee’s Greatest Hits

Sheila Jackson Lee has a history of bizarre, even nonsense statements.

The Daily Beast – a left-leaning outlet – compiled some of her best.

In 1997, Jackson Lee asked the Mars Pathfinder operators if they were able to take a picture of the America flag planted there by Neil Armstrong.

Humanity has never stepped foot on Mars, of course. The American flag is planted on the Moon.

The Daily Caller notes that, after being corrected on that point, Jackson Lee accused NASA officials of racism: “You thought you could have fun with a black woman member of the Science Committee.”

In 2010, Jackson Lee claimed that the “tea party” movement was really the KKK.

All those who wore sheets a long time ago have now lifted them off and started wearing [applause], uh, clothing, uh, with a name, say, I am part of the tea party. Don’t you be fooled. Those who used to wear sheets are now being able to walk down the aisle and speak as a patriot because you will not speak loudly about the lack of integrity of this movement.

The Daily Caller reported that she constantly insulted one of her staffers, calling them “you stupid motherf*****” on a frequent basis.

Another staffer said that Jackson Lee frequently asked staff, “What am I a prostitute? Am I your prostitute? You can’t prostitute me.”

While the Daily Caller report is from 2011, a Houston Press article from 1998 describes Jackson Lee haranguing a different staffer for not getting enough of a VIP treatment: “You don’t understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.”

In 2003, Jackson Lee demanded that hurricanes – the destructive, deadly storms – be given African-American sounding names.
