Representative Dina Titus, a Nevada Democrat, says colleagues from her own party who failed to draw congressional maps to favor her reelection âtotally f***edâ her.
Titus believes the redistricting process was fumbled by Democratic Governor Steve Sisilak and the blue Nevada legislature.
âI totally got f****** by the legislature on my district,â Titus told an AFL-CIO union hall according to the Nevada Current. âIâm sorry to say it like that, but I donât know any other way to say it.â
In an amusing twist, Titus isnât upset with the integrity of the redistricting process rather, sheâs upset her colleagues didnât gerrymander the districts in her favor.

The Democrat Party consistently accuses Republicans of gerrymandering districts in states where they control the legislature and denounce it as a threat to democracy.
Sometimes they say itâs racist.
It wasnât all that long ago that former President Barack Obama announced he would help his party by âcombating partisan gerrymandering.â
Titus, however, is livid that the gerrymandering of congressional maps by the Democrats in her state benefitted other races for her party, but not hers.
âThey could have created two safe seats for themselves and one swing. That would have been smart,â she said. â[Democratic Rep.] Steven [Horsford] and mine and then a swing. No no, we have to have three that are very likely going down.â
âYou read that the Republicans are using gerrymandering to cut out Democratic seats, but they didnât have to in this state,â she complained. âWe did it to ourselves.â

This past October, Democrats in Illinois unveiled a new congressional map that significantly impacted Representative Adam Kinzingerâs (R) chances of winning in 2022.
And after everything he has done for that party. The nerve.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Kinzinger would have had trouble winning regardless of what happened with the gerrymandering. Still, it was only after the lines had been redrawn that he announced he would not run for reelection.
Titusâ expletive-laced complaints werenât the first time sheâs gone on a foul-mouthed rant.
In 2019 she called on Congress to impeach then-President Donald Trump. Except her words werenât quite that measured in tone.
âYou know, frankly, I think the House is going to do it and Iâd like to impeach the bastard right now,â she said.
Trump was indeed impeached by the House one month later on overblown charges and strictly along party lines. The âbastardâ was acquitted in the Senate, however.
