Sometimes, the Democrat Party is so sad that they end up as good material for a joke.
The following joke is such a scenario. It’s accurate all the way through until you hit the very last few words, where the realization is that the anger fueling the Democrat Party these days is dead on.
Indeed, the highly emotional party ranges from anxiety to sadness and tears, and in this case … anger.
And anger is at an all-time level in the era of President Trump.

It’s certainly true that Democrats have proven to be “an illogical group of self-absorbed, undereducated freeloaders who think everyone else should think like them.” (RELATED: Study: Even 4-Year-Olds Dislike Liberal Freeloaders).
But it’s that last line that reveals the entire source of anger motivating the left. It’s also an important lesson in reality.
While Democrats want you to think Republicans are the party of racism and Jim Crow, as Hillary Clinton recently did in saying the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court would set us back to the days of slavery, it’s actually quite the other way around.
“I used to worry that [the GOP] wanted to turn the clock back to the 1950s,” Clinton said, “Now I worry they want to turn it back to the 1850s.”
That would be just prior to the abolition of slavery with the passage of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution in 1865.
The reality, however, is that it was the Republicans who were fighting to end slavery in America, while the Democrats fought to preserve it.
Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., unbelievably, once revealed in an interview for the book “Bamboozled” that, “There is no doubt that the Democratic Party is the party of the Confederacy, historically, that the Democratic Party’s flag is the Confederate flag.”
“Secessionists in the South saw themselves as Democrats and were Democrats,” Jackson added. “That so much of the Democratic Party’s history, since it is our nation’s oldest political party, has its roots in slavery.”
And they haven’t been this angry since Lincoln freed the slaves.
Well, that and the fact that they can’t raise your taxes, can’t regulate your lives and businesses into submission, can’t open the country’s borders, and can no longer coddle terrorists so they can succeed in destroying our country.
Whatever the cause, they’re certainly an angry bunch these days.

Someone needs to tell hillary that if we could turn back the clock....we would make sure that her mother had an abortion just to save the world from hillary's crimes.
For the writer of this article to claim that the text of the joke is all true is gratuitously tribalistic. I am a Democratic liberal. I have two University degrees. I can tell a propaganda hit piece when I see one. Intellectual honesty matters. I do get angry when a writer exploits the ignorance of the reader, as he has done in the above article. The Democratic Party was a different animal before the civil rights act that Johnson managed to get passed in the 60s. He said at the time that he knew this one piece of legislation had lost the South to the Republicans, and within a decade, he was proven right, as evidenced by the racist dog whistles that the Republican Party has been exploiting since Nixon, and that Trump has stopped trying to hide. The Republican Party has become the Party of Trump, apparently because he has been making little effort to hide the animus behind his racist and authoritarian statements and policies. Taking children from their parents with no mechanism for return, for a non felony charge, without adequate judicial oversight, just would never have been tolerated by Trump's supporters, if it were done to white people on this scale. When Trump equates immigrants with gang members he demonstrates his racism. When his followers cheer him on for it, that tells me the racists have found their leader, and he is a Republican. Trump is manipulating our baser instincts, like fear and loathing, to manipulate voters. This author is too, when he attempts to play on our ignorance so we will stay in the fold. Claiming the Democrats are the racists is a good example of classic Freudian projection, in the service of keeping the faithful happy. That cognitive frame is an unsustainable defense mechanism that manages only to sooth the ego briefly, and with undesirable side effects.
