Corey Lewandowski Could Care Less That Meghan McCain Trashed His Potential Run for Office

'If I enter the race, I will win,' former Trump campaign manager told The Daily Caller this week — watch the exchanges below

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has no worries about a putdown by co-host Meghan McCain of ABC’s “The View” that his potential New Hampshire Senate run next year would be a “ridiculous crap show.”

“I appreciate all of the free media that continues to promote my potential U.S. Senate race,” Lewandowski told The Daily Caller in an email in Tuesday, the publication reported.

“If I enter the race I will win, and I will remind the voters of New Hampshire that Jeanne Shaheen voted to fund sanctuary cities, and has gotten very rich while in public office,” he also told the outlet. “Those are not the values of the people of New Hampshire.”

While Lewandowski has not launched an official campaign as of yet, he’s created a website and tweeted about it while on break during his Capitol Hill testimony to the House Judiciary Committee this week.

The former campaign manager for Trump sent out a tweet with a link to the site, saying, “New website just launched to help a potential senate run. Sign up now!”

Once there, readers see a quote in large print from President Donald Trump: “I think Corey would be fantastic,” as The Caller also noted in a separate piece about the issue.

Early last month, Lewandowski announced he was “very seriously” considering seeking office as a Republican senator in New Hampshire and going up against incumbent Democrat Shaheen in the 2020 election there.

Co-hosts of “The View,” however, had a few issues with such a run — and with Lewandowski himself after his House testimony.

Said Meghan McCain about such a possibility, “If he thinks he is going to maroon the state of New Hampshire for a Senate run, get your popcorn and whiskey — it’s going to be an absolutely ridiculous crap show,” said the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

The House Judiciary Committee’s first hearing as part of its Trump impeachment investigation “descended into chaos” on Tuesday, as Fox News and other outlets reported, as Democrats clashed with Lewandowski and traded insults. He refused to answer many of their questions — questions that were often not posed as questions at all but pronouncements with Democrat talking points.

Lewandowski appeared to visibly frustrate Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), the committee chair, right from the start.

In an apparent effort to stall for time, Lewandowski repeatedly asked Nadler to point to the specific section or sections in Robert Mueller’s special counsel report that might be related to the question at hand.

Lewandowski was following White House orders, Fox News reported, not to discuss confidential conversations he had with the president beyond what was already made public in the report.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Lewandowski is 46.
