Students at the Fordham University College Republicans Club were deported from an on-campus coffee shop because their ‘Make America Great Again’ hats reportedly violated “safe space policy.”

“I don’t want people like you supporting this club,” an employee at Rodrigue’s Coffee House said to the students. “No one here wants people like you supporting our club.”

She then warned they had five minutes to vacate the premises.

“You are wearing hats that completely violate our safe space policy,” she continues. “I’m telling you to take it off or you have to go.”

Watch the lunacy unfold below …

The woman in the video is asked exactly what part of the phrase ‘Make America Great Again’ is a violation of student safety, and what exactly does the hat mean to her, to which she responds “Fascism, Nazis! You have three minutes.”

At one point, as the triggered employee announces her countdown, she says, “Don’t try to outsmart me.”

The College Republicans easily did that, having entered the cafe in an attempt to “test the unwritten rule” of conservative discrimination.

“We went there because we wanted to test the unwritten rule that conservatives were banned from that coffee shop,” a member of the College Republicans said.

“We went there and just started doing some homework and studying. Then we were asked to leave.”

And they recorded it. Outsmarting the employee.

Why weren’t these students afforded a safe space to study and do homework? Are they not given the same protections that other students are? If not, Fordham University is a much closer symbol of fascism and Nazism than anything you’ll find in a Republican club.

Perhaps Fordham should look into a policy introduced by the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, which has enlisted the use of Care Bears to help ease the pressures of stressed-out students.

Clearly, this cafe employee is a wee bit frazzled.
