Chick-Fil-A Restaurants Are Doing An AWESOME Thing For Memorial Day!!

We at the Political Insider hope you’re having a great Memorial Day, but we also hope you take the time to consider what the holiday really means. And if you need help, let this viral post from a Chick-Fil-A restaurant help you remember the real reason why we commemorate Memorial Day:

Wow. Here’s what’s written on the sign:

“We cover a small table with a white cloth to honor a soldier’s pure heart when he answers his country’s call to duty. We place a lemon slice and grains of salt on a plate to show a captive soldier’s bitter fate and tears of families waiting for loved ones to return. We push an empty chair to the table for the missing soldiers who are not here. We lay a black napkin for the sorrow of captivity, and turn over the glass for the meal that won’t be eaten. We place a white candle for peace. And finally a red rose in a vase tied with a red ribbon for the hope that all our missing will return someday. You are not forgotten so long as there is one left in whom your memory remains.”

Pretty remarkable.

The post has gone absolutely viral, showing how much Americans really care for fallen soldiers who died for our freedoms.

Here’s more from Fox News:

This Memorial Day weekend, two Alabama Chick-fil-A restaurants are honoring those who lost their lives defending our country.

The Chick-fil-A’s in Gardendale and Fultondale have each left a table with an empty seat.

The table has a place setting, a rose in a vase and a note reminding everyone who eats there what Memorial Day is really about.

What a great example for all to follow. While many forget what Memorial Day is really about, there are always little stories like this that show many more do remember, and respect and honor the sacrifices made by military members on our behalf.
