Lord have mercy on all of us.

Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton was recently asked if she has any political ambitions, and was considering a possible political run in the future.

Before we get to her answer, let’s consider the following: her DNA makeup. Chelsea is a Clinton. Political ambition is grafted permanently to her chromosomes. It’s a part of the very fiber of her being. Therefore, any negative answer Clinton gives is instantly suspect. She’s the daughter of Bill and Hillary, two of America’s most shrewd political players in history.

So, let’s not deny the obvious.

Chelsea must know that she wouldn’t fool anyone by ruling out a future political career. Thus, she hedged in her answer, saying she has no immediate plans for a political run, but the future is full of possibility.

Via the Guardian:

Chelsea Clinton has said she has not ruled out running for office one day, describing a move into politics as a “definite no now” but a “definite maybe” in the future.

She told the Edinburgh international book festival that while she “abhorred” Donald Trump’s presidency, she had no current plans to follow in her parents’ footsteps.

Now that’s funny. Chelsea hates President Trump, yet has been totally ineffective at actually mounting a verbal assault on the King of Putdowns. Every attempt she’s had in trying to be witty and biting over Twitter has been a disaster. (RELATED: Chelsea Clinton Embarrasses Herself After Attacking Donald Trump Jr.)

She was even caught posting fake news on the platform, a faux pas she constantly accuses Republicans of committing. (RELATED: Chelsea Clinton Caught Spreading Fake News on Twitter.)

If Chelsea is trying to be the liberal equivalent of Trump, firing off zingers over Twitter, she’s failing miserably. Her social media presence is pathetic, and her only notoriety is being the daughter of a popular-but-philandering president and a failed presidential candidate.

So, yes, go ahead, Chelsea, please run for political office. After watching your mother get humiliated on Election Night 2016, we’d all welcome the chance to see another Clinton get clobbered.
