James Carville, the Democrat strategist, claimed that Democrats will “wipe out” Donald Trump in 2020, but that Republicans “will kill people” to stay in power.

Carville: Biden in a “Commanding Position” to Win

Speaking to MSNBC’s Brian Williams, Carville, the former lead strategist in Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, said that he has “absolutely no fear” that Trump will lose the 2020 race.

“First of all, he won [in 2016] with 46.1%. He’s literally lost 95% of the elections that have taken place between the time of his election and right now,” Carville argued.

“His polling numbers are going down, and they’re awful… Jimmy Carter was at 67% in the Iran hostage crisis. The prime minister of Italy is over 70%. I’ll bet you 30 governors in the United States are over 70%,” he continued, adding that he was “totally, totally unimpressed by President Trump’s political prowess.”

If the elections in November are “anything close to a level playing field, it’s going to be a Democratic wipeout,” Carville claimed, arguing that “people are not going to vote for four more years of this,” and that right now, former Vice President Joe Biden is in a “commanding position” to take the White House.

Republicans “Will Kill People to Stay in Power”

Carville went on to say that what he feared was the Republicans running “amok with the election and [stopping] people from voting,” because “Trump and all Republicans admitted ‘we can’t win if everybody votes.'”

The former Democrat strategist added that his “mission in the short term is to sound the alarm and say that Mitch McConnell and the Supreme Court are going to do everything they can to hold onto power,” claiming the recent judicial review overturning Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’ decision to delay the primary elections was “one of the most awful things I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Carville said this proves that Republicans “will kill people to stay in power. Literally.”

How ridiculous! It’s insane to suggest there’s some conspiratorial power game where the President or McConnell can blackmail or otherwise force judges to do their bidding.
