Known best for his role in “Breaking Bad,” Bryan Cranston was one of countless American celebrities who threatened to move to Canada in the event that Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election. And like every other celeb, he hasn’t followed through on the promise. Unlike those who were silent about their pledge, Cranston rescinded his the day after the election, and wished Trump success.

That’s just about the opposite reaction that most celebs and members of the anti-Trump “resistance” had. Below is just one such headline from the Boston Globe published in the aftermath of the election.

It is a bit bizarre to see someone want a president to fail – because it’s everyone who pays the price in the event that happens.  It’s hard to imagine that there are people looking at their 401(k) balances over the past year and wishing it would go down because it’s something good attributable to Trump.

While those Trump would describe as his “haters” have already written his presidency off as a failure, Cranston is still giving him a chance – and had some choice words for those hoping his presidency becomes an unmitigated disaster.

According to Page Six, “Cranston, notably outspoken against then-candidate Donald Trump, recently changed his tone, calling out those who don’t support the current president.”

Check out Cranston’s comments regarding those who oppose Trump: “President Trump is not the person who I wanted to be in that office, and I’ve been very open about that. That being said, he is the president. If he fails, the country is in jeopardy. It would be egotistical for anyone to say, ‘I hope he fails. To that person I would say, f—k you. Why would you want that? So you can be right?”

He added: “We’ve got to get away from this idea that our country is a political football, and someone with a different opinion is the enemy. Assume they love this country as much as you do, and there’s always room for improvement. How can we make it better?”

Well, at least one person in Hollywood has a clue (kinda). The guy doesn’t like Trump by any means, he just doesn’t want him (and thus the country) to fail.

It’s a bit depressing that such a blatantly obvious statement can even be described as “political.”
