On Thursday, the New York Times’ Catie Edmondson and Nicholas Fandos published an article alarmingly and cryptically titled, “Dianne Feinstein Refers a Kavanaugh Matter to Federal Investigators.” The “matter” allegedly worthy of a federal investigation is revealed in the second paragraph: “Two officials familiar with the matter say the incident involved possible sexual misconduct between Judge Kavanaugh and a woman when they were both in high school.”
Read that again. Let it sink in. Realize that Democrats are so desperate to derail Brett Kavanaugh that they’re attempting to criminalize him for having sex in high school – something that, according to a 2017 CDC survey, 40 percent of U.S. high school students have done.
This non-story first erupted when Feinstein issued a sensationalized statement that she “received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.” Conveniently, however, the individual “strongly requested confidentiality” and “declined to come forward or press the matter further.”
The Times sure are loving anonymous sources these days, aren’t they?
Let me get this straight: this is statement about secret letter regarding a secret matter and an unidentified person. Right. https://t.co/G6qVWdITbo

Of course, if Kavanaugh truly did commit sexual misconduct of some sort, it’s understandable that his alleged victim would want to remain anonymous. But there’s just one tiny fact that the Times left out of their report: the act was reportedly consensual.
Screw it. I will destroy this game everyone is playing.
The rumor is that the letter said that in High School, BK and a girl within a few years of his age traveled to a different state and had consensual sex. https://t.co/7GXLGfe6J4

Again, this is a second-hand rumor about BK having consensual sex in High School (something a large % of Americans did). That’s the accusation.
They are trying to imply he is a rapist based on that.
How are these people not evil?

Again: 40 percent of U.S. high school students have engaged in sexual intercourse. But because Kavanaugh is a Trump nominee for Supreme Court, the fact that he allegedly did it decades ago is worthy of a federal investigation.
Unfortunately, Feinstein’s statement and the subsequent Times article aren’t even the most ridiculous response to this rumor. Just look at this journalistic gem from Ian Millhiser of the far-left group ThinkProgress:
Great lead, @imillhiser. Real Pulitzer stuff there:
“Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh may have committed a very serious crime — possibly even a sex crime. Or maybe he didn’t.”

Turn in your press pass, Millhiser. You’re done.
This just the latest Democrat attempt to sully Kavanaugh’s good name. In July, the Washington Post ran a report that, once upon a time, Kavanaugh had credit card debt – but paid it off, just like millions of other Americans. How scandalous.
Truly, there’s just one word for Democrats’ behavior over Kavanaugh’s nomination: Sad!
