Bogus Kavanaugh Accuser Jeff Catalan Facing Legal Consequences

Are we to believe it’s a coincidence that every single personal Brett Kavanaugh has allegedly sexually assaulted is a Democrat or otherwise left-of-center? I’d say that’s exactly what we should expect if this circus is the witch hunt we’re saying it is.

A bogus fifth accuser came forward last week; Jeff Catalan of Newport, Rhode Island, who called the office of his Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, “making allegations concerning a rape on a boat in August of 1985.” He later would post on Twitter a statement recanting his statements, apparently unaware that there would be consequences for his lies.

That tweet was posted at 7:51 pm EST, yet at 9 pm that same evening CNN ran a story including Catalan’s accusation but not his recanting, even though it had happened over an hour before the story was published. Fake news indeed.

The FBI has since decided to investigate Catalan’s claims, but not in any manor that would threaten Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Instead, it would be Catalan that becomes the first legal casualty of this witch hunt.

According to the Daily Mail, “Committee on the Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley sought a criminal review of the actions by a named individual. ‘As explained below, I write today respectfully referring Mr. for investigation of potential violations of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1001 and 1505, for materially false statements [the unnamed man] made to the Committee as part of its investigation of allegations against Judge Kavanaugh,’ Grassley wrote in a letter from the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary on Saturday. The complaint was made to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse’s office Monday and the Committee spoke with Kavanaugh as soon as the following day for questioning.”

Meanwhile, Grassley also sent an epic letter to Bernie Sanders, after Bernie requested that the FBI also look into Kavanaugh’s uncredible accusers besides Christine Blasey Ford (such as Julie Swetnick, whom even even her friends say is lying). The letter to Sanders read, in part, “Your public statements clearly reveal how unimportant it is to you to review any facts related to this nomination. So you can imagine my surprise at receiving your letter regarding the supplemental FBI background investigation. This supplemental FBI background investigation was requested by undecided members of both parties. Am I to take from your letter that you are now undecided and willing to seriously engage with the Senate’s advice-and-consent constitutional duties related to the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to serve as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States? If so, we should have a conversation about what information you need to assist you in making a decision, and I look forward to that conversation.”

I believe that directly translates to something along the lines of “screw off.”

You can read the entirety of the letter below, which is nothing short of a smackdown.

Something tells me that despite the show Democrats have been putting on, Kavanaugh will be getting confirmed after all.
