This incident comes after a number of high-risk encounters in the region. On Sunday, U.S. forces shot down a Syrian jet, prompting Russia to issue a threat about shooting down U.S. aircraft. Also related was a near-miss collision between a U.S. fighter and a Russian fighter near the Baltic Sea.
The situation in the Middle East between the U.S. coalition, and the Syria-Russia-Iran alliance has reached a fever point. We’re all praying that President Trump will have the wisdom and skill to see our country through this dangerous time.
