Yesterday, it was reported that Islamic State (ISIS) thugs kidnapped 300 workers at Al Badia Cement near Damascus.
Just a day later, it is confirmed that more than 175 of those workers were brutally murdered.
This is shocking:
ISLAMIC State militants have murdered more than half of the 300 hostages taken hostage at a cement factory outside the Syrian capital earlier this week.
Syrian military sources confirmed the deaths of workers and contractors for Al Badia Cement company, who were taken from near the town of Dumeir, northeast of Damascu.
The fate of the remaining hostages is not known.
Fierce fighting broke out around Dumeir, 30 miles northeast of the capital, late on Tuesday night after ISIS militants launched attacks on government areas northeast of the capital.
The deaths were confirmed Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), which has monitored conflicts in this region for years. Company officials have also confirmed, noting these employees have not been reachable since Monday.
ISIS is a brutal, horrible gang of thugs that should be wiped off the Earth. But weak leaders – like President Barack Obama – have allowed them to grow in size and strength. Now we see the end result of not taking out ISIS.
This is a horrible tragedy. Let us pray for the victims and their family during this difficult time.
