A new report indicates there has been a dramatic shift in the demographics of the illegal immigrants crossing the border, as agents from the Border Patrol process people from over 115 countries at bustling crossing locations – with hardly any of them being Mexicans.

An Associated Press analysis documents agents processing migrants trying to cross the border in Yuma, Arizona as well as Eagle Pass, Texas – two of the busiest crossings.

“Migrants from at least 115 countries have been stopped here in the last year, but that may be less striking than what’s missing: Mexicans are virtually absent,” they write.

The report notes that Mexicans still cross the border elsewhere, but are often attempting to elude capture due to the likelihood of being deported due to a pandemic rule that prevents them from seeking asylum.

As such, illegal immigrants from places like Russia, Haiti, Cuba, and India instead flock to some of the busiest crossings where they are processed by the Border Patrol.

The Associated Press reports that Mexicans accounted for 35% of all encounters with Border Patrol between October and July, well below 85% during the same timeframe in 2011, and 95% around 2000.

“One recent morning, six Russians said they flew from Istanbul to Tijuana, Mexico, with a stop in Cancun, and hired a driver to take them four hours to the deserted highway where they crossed,” they write.

“Migrants are released” from clinics “on humanitarian parole or with a notice to appear in immigration court.”

One executive officer at a Yuma clinic claims they’ve “seen families from over 140 countries.”

Individuals on the Terror Watchlist Being Arrested

This latest report that illegal immigrants from over 115 countries are crossing the southern border comes following recent data showing another 10 individuals on the terror watchlist were arrested in July, bringing the total at that time for the year to 66.

The CBP report states that the department’s “top priority” is “to keep terrorists and their weapons from entering the United States.”

Vice President Kamala Harris, despite volumes of evidence suggesting otherwise, told NBC’s Chuck Todd that the border is secure.

“The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular, over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed,” she said.

Todd wasn’t buying what Harris was selling.

“We’re going to have two million people cross this border for the first time ever. You’re confident this border’s secure?” he asked.

Harris famously visited Central America in an attempt to find the “root causes” of illegal immigration and it turns out a significant amount are now coming from over 115 other countries and not the Northern Triangle.

“The changing demographics mark a dramatic shift away from the recent past, when migrants were predominantly from Mexico and Central America’s Northern Triangle countries — Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador,” the AP writes.

Harris, during the NBC interview, tried to pin the administration’s border crisis on former President Donald Trump.

“There are still a lot of problems that we are trying to fix given the deterioration that happened over the last four years,” she claimed.
