Bloomberg Fires Back at Trump: New Yorkers ‘Laugh at You & Call You a Carnival Barking Clown’

On Thursday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg responded to repeated social media attacks from President Donald Trump.

.@realDonaldTrump — we know many of the same people in NY. Behind your back they laugh at you & call you a carnival barking clown. They know you inherited a fortune & squandered it with stupid deals and incompetence,” Bloomberg tweeted.

‘I have the record & the resources to defeat you… And I will’

“I have the record & the resources to defeat you,” the former New York City mayor added. “And I will.”

Bloomberg’s tweet was a response to tweets from Trump in which he called the five-foot-eight-inch mayor “Mini Mike” and compared him to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

‘Mini Mike Bloomberg is a LOSER’

On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted, “Mini Mike Bloomberg is a LOSER who has money but can’t debate and has zero presence, you will see. He reminds me of a tiny version of Jeb ‘Low Energy’ Bush, but Jeb has more political skill and has treated the Black community much better than Mini!”

“Mini Mike is a 5’4” mass of dead energy who does not want to be on the debate stage with these professional politicians. No boxes please. He hates Crazy Bernie and will, with enough money, possibly stop him. Bernie’s people will go nuts!” the president added in another tweet.

Bloomberg Playing Catch Up

Bloomberg is a late entrant in the 2020 Democratic primaries, but has tried to make up time by spending hundreds of millions of his own dollars on a widespread advertising campaign, with many of those ads criticizing Trump as well as promoting his own candidacy.
