During a campaign stop in Iowa, a man who is nearly 100% blind offered support to Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, calling him a “true conservative Christian” like Ronald Reagan.
Court Oviatt then shook Cruz’ hand and delivered a tremendous one-liner about his handicap.
Despite his impaired vision, Oviatt said he sees with perfect clarity when it comes to one thing – Hillary Clinton’s BS.
“I’m almost 100 percent blind, been that way for two years now,” he said. “But I can still see through Hillary Clinton.”

“Repeat this quote to this fine gentleman from The Dallas Morning News,” the senator urged Oviatt, a retired rural mail carrier from Logan, Iowa.
“This is the first time for 40 years since Reagan I can vote for a true conservative Christian,” Oviatt said.
“Well but tell the first line. I appreciate that but tell the first line,” Cruz said. Oviatt complied: “I’m blind. I’m almost 100 percent blind. Been that way for two years now, and I can still see through Hillary Clinton.”
They shared a laugh, and Cruz returned his attention to the reporter before posing for a photo with his new friend: “You owe me one. That’s a good quote. You can use that in a story.”

Cruz is currently in the midst of a 6-day, 28-stop bus tour of Iowa.
