Armed Black Panthers Walk Streets With Guns to Campaign for Dem Stacey Abrams

The New Black Panther Party (NBPP) in Atlanta has taken up arms for Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, literally, walking the streets with what anti-gun loons like Abrams call “assault weapons.”

The group took to social media and posted pictures of volunteers brandishing their weapons in front of campaign signs supporting Abrams.

They maintain that they are in no way affiliated with the campaign and are only interested in getting the word out about ‘voter suppression’ in Georgia.

“We did this on our own accord in response to the voter registration issue we’re still dealing with here in Georgia in 2018,” the Atlanta Chapter wrote.

Still, that didn’t stop them from walking the streets with two items – their weapons, and Abrams campaign signs.

Black Panthers’ history of voter intimidation

What’s the first thing you think of when you see these images? The voter intimidation attempts in 2008 outside a polling place in Philadelphia, correct?

Voters were greeted by Panther members in paramilitary uniforms brandishing billy clubs, frightening voters and trying to suppress the vote against Barack Obama at that time.

Obama’s administration, particularly the DOJ under Eric Holder, refused to pursue charges against the NBPP members, setting the precedent that it’s okay to violate electioneering laws.

The group is an extremist organization, with leaders and former leaders suggesting they’d like to see “police officers in caskets” as a justification for police shootings in the black community.

Others have said, “You want freedom? You going to have to kill some crackers!”

Imagine this were a group of NRA members marching with their weapons for Abrams Republican opponent, Brian Kemp.

Ironically – Abrams wants to ban those very weapons

It shouldn’t be hard at all for Abrams to come out and denounce the NBPP for walking the streets with these so-called “assault weapons.”

They are, after all, ironically the same weapons she would like to see confiscated from law-abiding Georgians.

During an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Abrams tried her best to say that she only introduced legislation to ban assault weapons as a means to start a conversation. She doesn’t want you to know that semi-automatic weapons would be confiscated if she were elected governor.

“In the state of Georgia, you introduce legislation to start conversations,” Abrams told Tapper. “I am happy to work with the legislature to figure out how we make an assault weapons ban work.”

“AR-15s are not necessary on our streets,” she added.

Yet, here we have the Black Panther party toting them around on the streets in her name.
